Dohc Oz

How hard will it be to give the Lancer OZ the DOHC Evo VIII head? Do you guys know if this is possible and what other mods are necessary? Any HP or WHP numbers?
Thanks!!!

If you think you're going to just bolt a 4g63 head to a 4g94 block you're in for a rough time. Different family engines, different blocks, different heads, waste of money, effort and time. You'd be better off trying to put the WHOLE 4g63 into the Lancer, and if you've read any engine swap threads (which I'm assuming you haven't, but feel free to correct me) you'd see what an ineffective use of money/time that would be too.
If you'll search a bit, you'll find out that many people have talked about it. Also, there is a 4G93 engine (very similar to the 4G94) that is DOHC I think sold in Taiwan. That's your best bet for a DOHC 4G94, but good luck finding someone in Taiwan parting with their engine's head...

Isn't the Ralliart Lancer supposedly going to have a DOHC head with variable valve timing, but still be similar to the current 4G64 in the Galant/'lipse? Or is it similar to the VTEC on Civic EX's that still utilize a SOHC head? Yes there is the Pacific Rim Lancer motor that is a DOCH 4G94.
Yes, but the Ralliart Lancer will probably be based off the 4g64 so the head would be more likely to fit an Evolution than a Lancer.
I've never heard of the DOHC 4g94, but the 4g93T and 4g93E are both DOHC variants of the 1.8l engine (same block, same family, same head in the SOHC vairnats) so the should swap right in. Now good luck finding one that's transversely mounted. I've been trying for months but to no avail.

The DOGC G93 is the Virage facing the right way on the t-belt for the 5g mirage and lancer. The Proton in Maylasia has a 4g93P which faces the opposite direction like a DSM.
Well, I do believe the the Virage pumps about 130-138 flywheel HP (can't confirm, been a long time look at the stat). A vast difference to the SOHC G93 making a meager 113 flywheel. I'll look on the net.

But you're forgetting that's on an ECU that's tuned and built for a 2nd cam. Without modification to the ECU, the car probably isn't going to make much more power. The car may run into fuel issues as well if the ECU doesn't understand where the intake/exhaust are coming from and going.
EDIT: I'm just curious what RPW will use for engine management. Always interesting.

Well, I underestimated its HP, but I do remember that it runs 3 cats, way before the modern scooby.
Yes, the ecu and wire harness too. It's kinda a given from me.
Otherwise, I can't sort through the mess in the china motor company's corporate site. can't DL language fonts.
