Holy Cooling Fan!

In the interest of gaining much need space behind the radiator for another project I slapped this fan on the outside today, like the Modern Image car.

Here it is on the car. Had to do some bending on the metal to get it to spin freely.

And look at all the space you have behind the radiator, a perfect place for your cat to sleep or maybe some extra manifold piping .

Nice reclaiming of space for sure. Quick question..Does it work with the A/C relay to turn it on/off with compressor, any manual control to turn it off completely while on highway?

After reading the box "Cools down a boiling mad engine" is it as loud as the hovercraft the British used to have to cross the Channel?

Nice work...

Works exactly like the factory one, I used the harness from the factory fan and soldered it to the new one, so the power comes from the relay/switch thingy that it always did. It only comes on as often as the old one and it isnt loud at all.

BTW this thing pumps out 1650 CFM, prolly double the factory and the 11" Fliudyne is 1050. 12" Perma-cool is $72 Fluidyne $99 Perma-cool is the best choice.

How much "bending" did you need to do to get it to fit and spin freely?

All you have to do is pull the AC radiator thing back and hit the sheet metal that surrounds the opening you only need to gain 1/4"-3/8" and it is hardly noticeable, or just go with a 10" instead of a 12"

Maybe tou could do a "How-To" write up for all the rest of us because I can see this as being incredibly useful. Just a suggestion if you have the time. Thanks for the input though.

I dont know my last how to is getting flamed cause its not RRM parts. I think they use Fluidyne so Perma-cool is gonna get blasted by one of their unpaid pitchmen on the boards.

That's bull$hit. I don't care who the parts come from, what company it is (well, as long as they aren't from APC), and that really pisses me off that people would do that. What was the how-to about? I don't think they would flame you about this one, I won't at least. Hell, the maker of your fan is the same company that makes an oil filter relocation kit that I need to turbo charge my Supra. But if you feel it's not worth it, then I'll just have to use the instructions you put in here.
