Do you guys think replaceing that rubber tube/pipe that connects the SRI to the TB with an aluminum or stainless steal pipe would make a difference? I have a good friend who does aluminum and stainless steal fabracation who could do it. Because when you look at it, it doesn't look like its smooth inside. It has all those ridges and dips on it. But, with an aluminum or stainless steal pipe would be smooth and flow better IMO.

I could be wrong, I'm just throwing around some ideas. Let me know!

i was looking at that as well, the only advantage the stock rubber piping has, is less heat absorbsion... with aluminum or stainless steel that tube they may become much hotter than it currently gets, leading to less dense airflow and a decrease in power even if it is a smoother travel... now if you have a friend in the custom rubber tubing fabrication business let me know, that is someone i want to talk to... keep in mind this is all my opinion, which according to my wife and kids isnt worth $***!

so take it or leave it

Mine worth about just as much too. But, what you say does make sense. And I'm sure RRM tried it in their test. Hmmmm......I'm going to investigate a little more into it. These long summer days, no work/school give me alot of time to do whatever.

RRM leaves it in for flexibility. Making it a hardpipe would be a (minor) improvement, but I'd recommend you fill your motor mounts, so you don't break your intake mount.

I'd leave it. I'm pretty sure the engineers had some idea what they were doing. It's probably designed that way for proper laminar flow, etc. (insert other big words as needed)
