i think with what everyone is saying here, it would be easier and better to go to a turbo upgrade vs engine swap....

^ That sounds about right.
I knew it didnt cost over 3K, 'cus these Civics nowadays are doing swaps all the time. So it cant be.
Sure, the engine might be over a grand, but I already have that!

why the v6? Just drop in a 4g63 and boost away. Far more power.

Yeah I'd take that with a grain of salt. I only know of one guys who's done it and it cost a lot.

Most people on club3g and thegalantcenter.net are now swaping over to the 6g74 engines. Thats from the diamante, its also a 3.5L

I don't see the point. The 6g72 from the Galant is not particularly a monster when it comes to performance or mod potential. Its very good at being smooth, quiet and dependable in a midsize family car.

If you are going to go through the trouble of a swap, I say come strong or don't come at all. Choose an engine Mitsubishi designed for performance like a 4G63T or the FTO engine if you want to be exotic and difficult since they aren't sold here.

If not one of those I think it would be better going with a 4G64 and turboing that.

I just don't see the point. No offense but you're not building a race car or a show car based on the other mods you have, you're just trying to give your daily driver more pep. If that's the case just turbo what you have. You can get a used kit for 2000$ or less and have 150+ hp.

Well thats what I was planning.. Or at least swapping the Blocks or maybe P&P the Head and then using it on the G94 etc.. or parting it out.. whatever.. I had alotta ideas I coulda done, but when I got to see the Galant for the first time, it turned out to be a V6 GTZ and not the 4 Cyl. I had hoped for.

However.. Its sexy.

...and I saw this too and wanna build it.

Galant in Brasil

You can't use any parts from the 4G63 on the 4G94, sorry but you'll have to look elsewhere.
Do you know how much money is in that galant you posted? I would wager to make a galant look like that it'd cost well over 10000$ in the body alone, possibly more depending on how much customization is involved (don't know if those are aftermarket lights or lights from a different car, etc). Now you have to ask yourself, do you want to dump 10000$ into a car that won't be you're daily driver (realistically you're not going to daily drive a car like that)?

I really have to agree here. If you're going to the trouble of doing a swap, why put in such a ***** motor?

I like the motor in my Camaro (modified 327ci). But if I was going to swap in a bigger motor, it wouldn't be a 350ci. It'd be a freaking 572ci or something. Know what I mean? You're going through a LOT of work/money to gain (maybe) 75chp. You could bolt on a turbo kit and easily gain more HP than that.

Wait wait wait.. Amby.. everyone.

Allow me to correct myself as I just caught my mistake.

In my last post above, I was thinking about a 4G69, 'cus I read around here that it was a Galant motor with interchangeable parts with the 4G94.

I just re-read and caught that it said 4G63 (I dunno why I didn't the first time...)

So scratch that reply, in ref. to the 4G63 he suggested.

My bad, and dont I feel stupid.. haha.

Because I have the entire engine/tranny available, and its better than a 4G94.
