for any auto its going to be a stretch to get a CAI in there...just go SRI, better IMO anyway

save yourself the trouble and do a SRI. its not like a CAI is gonna give you any more power.

RMR heat-shielded intake FTW!

No CAI for an auto lancer. You can make it fit by relocating the battery....but the short ram intake does the same exact job and its easier to install.

Pro:
Sucks better than stock intake
Pretty hard to ruin with water/slush/etc.
Cheaper than CAI
Solid options available from RRM, RMR, K&N, etc.

Con:
None, really

How's that?

I have the Injen. It's very nice looking, good sound, but it does rub, either on the fuse box or the battery (depending on the angle you put it in at). Unfortunately, it was developed on a brand new Lancer with new motor mounts, which many no longer are. As the motor mounts age, they allow more engine movement, so a slight rub gets worse. This may have been fixed since I put in the solid motor mounts but I am considering trimming the pipe slightly to get it a little more out of the way before I get an AEM dry-flow filter for it. If you just want something that works and isn't that big of a pain, go RRM.
