Actually, from what I heard, our 08 has 2 resonators, that's coming from the person who did my exhaust. And yes, I did run the piping from the first resonator, near the front axle, and did a full cat from there, with 2.5" piping. I did however have to do a fully custom piping job, but it's very hard to explain. As I said earlier, I will take pics of the exhaust itself, and the piping as well. It's been raining everyday and I'm not down with getting wet and dirty for a few pics

Hopefully, tomorrow it's not supposed to rain, so I def. will post pics up! And perhaps a video, if I can find someone to film it for me lol

why would mitsu even put a cat that far back? wouldn't it be essentially useless if it can't get hot enough? i'll bet a million bucks the thing's a resonator...

that's what everyone says, but we tested it out of course before actually going through with the install, and it doesnt scrape or bang or anything on the suspension.. theres plenty of room, being that i have stock suspension. even if i do get the G.R.I.P. springs, which i do plan on getting, it still won't hit anything, so it was well thought out before we installed

I'm sure it was thought out, its just unusual to see it. Most fear the obvious. Lets hope the drop doesn't do anything. And avoid big holes/dips too. lol

I made a few inquiries about it at mazda with a service guy, and the guys at mazda which is my official shop for working on these projects and installs. say it looks like the Cat is at the front , and the Muffler looks similar to the european setups with a really good performaning muffler that handles sound dampning / cooling and flow.

Could be wrong. but i took a few shots of it for the turbo project reserach and piping and the guys didnt say anything about it.

we gotta cut that thing and find out for sure
