20w50 oil on a n/a lancer?

has anyone used that before and is it safe? my friend gave me a free box of castrol gtx. i just picked up an 03 lancer oz last week.

Should be perfectly fine. Turbo Lancers swear by it. Gotta figure it'll work just as well in N/A.

as long as your outside air temps don't drop below 40 degrees then you should be fine...that stuff becomes like glue at cold temps.

my car stays outside. in the mornings and at nights its 65 degrees..during the days its usually 80 85 the most.

Personally I'd use something lighter like 5w30 or 10w30 on an NA car. 20w50 is pretty thick, I've only really heard of turboed cars using it and even then it's often people who actually race their cars.
