An unproven intake thats priced over $200 is not a discount. Give it 6 months and that same intake people are over paying for will be $100. Give it 3 months and you will see knock off for $50 on eBay.

yep, thats is true, i pre ordered mine already, they should ship by this coming week. The price if you pre order from speedcorps.com will be 285.00 shipped to your house. If you order directly from injen will be over 400.00 so you do the math. I am a owner of lancertuners.com and speedcorps.com is a supporting vendor on my forum, so dont be skeptikal about the company. They are legit, Speedcorps is also working closely with one of the members on my forum who own the INJEN sponsored 2008 Lancer... as for the CF trunk lids and hood, they are available on their site, and VIS is the one who makes those for them.

Prices are what they are. If the retail price is the actual $400+ it's been quoted as, the discounted price is a good deal. Anyone remember how much the 4G94 AEM CAI cost when it first came out? . . .

Be patient.

EDIT - Hell, looking at the AEM website, the 21-434 CAI (02-03 Lancers) still retails for $293. And it's been on the market for nearly 5 years!

the price is exactly where it should be. 280 shipped for a intake is extremly good. exspecialy just released. im in no hurry for it otherwise i would jump on the preorder rightaway. i've never seen a new intake from a good company as injen, aem,or fujita for less the 200. so im impressed. and well worth it.

Ancient Chinese proverb?

I think $285 shipped, especially to Canada is one heck of a deal. Although in my case I will probably pass on it till atleast the summer. Mainly cause an HID kit and window tinting is going to drain my budget. And also being winter here, its not like I'm going to get any use out of it. My car already loses traction at intersections at 2000rpm

By then if there are any issues with the intake, perhaps they could be rectified by CAI too who knows. I know they've already made some modifications to the release version, so it doesnt interfere with the CVT cooler.

lol. I just feel that as time goes on, the products will get better and cheaper. The price will be driven down due to market competition.

ah.. there in lies a problem.. there are actually a lot of companies competing for the tuner market.. the cost of r&d might keep the price up and especially since there will a different version of the lancer in the future... it might f*ck everything up for the 08 lancers.... who knows..
