Exaust for my 2006 Lancer Es

Im wanting to get a new exaust for my 2006 Lancer Es Auto, And i was leaning towards the HKS Carbon Ti Muffler and i was wondering what size piping and if i should get a test pipe or what all would be the best setup? Im thinking of getting the RRM Headers incase this would help with the desicion. Please help me out on the info

You should start off by reading the FAQ in my signature. After that, you should do a search for a specific question you may have such as "custom exhaust pipe size".

buy like whatever muffler you want, go get it welded on for like 50$ and get RRM's header and call it a day. Headers will give you a little power and a little better power curve, muffler/piping will do NOTHING, and I mean nothing.

making bigger piping wont do anything? what about the cat converter? arnt mufflers and piping supposed to free up some power? by giving better flow?

The basic premise behind bolt-ons is to reduce the constraints on the stock motor thus releasing more power. However, as many people have experienced, the stock motor is not restricted by the stock systems and is basically as powerful as it can get without drastic action (turbo, supercharger, massive NA modifications). Unless you plan on doing one of these three things, don't waste any money trying to make the car faster with little mods here and there. If you want an exhaust for sound that's fine (I did the same with my current car) but for power it's useless.
