Nice! Looks a lot like the RRM one (can you say Rob beat 'em to it?), but at twice the price. Good thing you didn't pay that much for it or I'd have some words for you.
Looks good, butt $300? I wish people new about Vibrant, My intake is polished aluminum from Tbody to MAS and my cone has a 4.5" opening, more air, more power. Polished 90 degree pipe $30, MAS adaptor $25, cone filter $30, 2 rubber couplings 3x3 and 3x2.75 $8. All you have to do is cut the pipe to size, drill a hole close to Tbody for vacumm/breather, pop in a rubber grommet, and make a small bracket to hold MAS in place. For less than $100 you have a custom intake that sounds and looks great. I wish I could post pics, but i don't have a scanner or compcam.
Can somebody tell me what is the difference between MT & AT for the aftermarket intake kit? I checked the website and those intakes are for 5 speed only. Can I use them on my AT Lancer?
CAI cold air intake system is for 5 speed only. due to not enough room for the pipe to go down to the bumper for AT cars. the AT trans is too big and stuck in the way.
in the other hand...SHORT RAM intake would fit both AT and MT lancers

Yeah I am lookin into gettin a heat sheild or somethin but i didnt notice it too much cause my hood is vented and lets a lot of heat out and I have pretty good air flow (in the grill out the vent so more the heat goes away from the intake). Still not the best design I have seen but it does seem to work pretty good. I drove through the desert yesterday and still noticed more power and better gas mileage so......
eh, we'll see which is better at the drag strip next month. Stock MT with an RMR vs. stock AT with the Typhoon. And don't try to say my suspension is doing much in the straight line. I can't believe I'm going to pay $20 to do what I do for free on the freeway onramp every morning.
