" Caution"CAI vs SRI this topic has been disscussed before, but now im taking compare btw Injen CAI/K&N SRI

im pretty sure K&N SRI will be within 250-300, becuz my old vechile also had 1, and it was like 269 something

Injen CAI) every 2-3 oil change = clean the the filter once, so it might be a problem cuz of the complicated installtion

K&N SRI) they have the heat block to come with , it helps a bit, but i realized that the SRI is not good for long race(full gas, high rev which last longer than 5 mins),
but the air comes more smoothly, directly and takes short distance to reach the engine with SRI , u can see the CAI design like a Upside down V, and we know straight pipe always ftw

So, im asking those 08 lancer vehicle owners who are considering to get a air intake soon, which will you choose, i know their difference but im getting confuse and hard to make decision

Why are you still comparing SRI's to CAI's? Here is your answer:

Some will swear up and down that SRI's are better. Then there are some that will swear that CAI's are better. Get what you think will work best for you. As for the spark plugs, please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the Lancer already have iridium spark plugs.

no i also am pretty sure that our car comes with iridium spark plugs already. and as far as the intake i plan on getting the K&N or the RRM V2 if i have the patience for it as it is still in planning stages. the reason why is because i like the design of the heat shield and how it collects some of the cold air that comes into the stock intake but still allows for maximum airflow. i also think the design of the heat shield will keep the filter cleaner longer which will end up giving you more power. reason i wouldn't want the injen CAI is because i know a lot of water gets down in there which will cause the filter to get dirty a lot faster and not flow as good and the fact it would take a lot longer in order to get the filter off for cleaning probably 3 times a year. i also think the design of the piping on the K&N is nice compared to the long curvy piping of the injen intake.
