RRM Intake Installed, But Removed Air Vent?

yeah the engine bay does get dirty, big wind tunnel in there at highway speeds. I like the k&n setup, its nice and sealed like they always do, but I have been running mine without the "intake vent" and no problems...I am gonna give it a steam clean when I got to work at the end of the week. Just have to tape&plastic off my intake filter

no lights..or anything driven about 600 miles since i had it no problems..

and the bay really isnt that dirty..but when i wash my car i make sure its clean under there too so i dont worry bout that problem
