Evo parts fit Lancer?

I have a friend who thinks that a Evo 8 fuel rail and intake manifold will fit his 2008 Lancer GTS. Is this true??

Horribly wrong. The motors are way to different for this to work.

Well, since this thread is about evo parts and swapping inbetween our cars, I was talking to my dealer about swapping in an Evo hood and front bumper on my car.

He wasn't too sure if the measurements were the same. Anyone know the specifics off the top of their head?

I'd much rather have that hood, and if I do end up getting the front bumper, I might as well just get the whole body kit, minus the rear bumper as to not look too incomplete.

the body of the x is much different than the normal lancer. the car is wider and different shaped in some parts. you might be able to get away with swapping the hood out, but if you want the front bumper you will probably need the front fenders and who knows what else.

ive looked into this and did deep thought.. i was really close to doing it too..

was gonna cost almost 1800 just for the front bumper and fenders..

and yes it will fit on our lancer right now..but it would look odd because the evos widebody kit..you would most likely need the front fenders if you wanted to look right which i was quoted for 300 a piece..

ive seen some recent pics of the Accolate Evo X Conversion kit and i must say that that is a route im much more willing to do..i would check it out in the lancer show and shine..they really did a good job..and costing about 2800 with everything you can think of to look like an evo..its all there...

im going to look into if i can buy those parts seperate

I need to park my car next to an Evo so I can compare and contrast. I'm pretty sure you're right though. I mean, I could go the easy route and just paint my bumper to look like the X's, but I'm planning on hooking up some fogs too.

Plus, anything to make my car look meaner ^^

I was planning on getting the front fenders anyway, and a carbon fiber version of the evo x hood and paint that to color match my car.

your looking at $2000.00 canadian with painting just for the Evo hood. I wanted to do this but am looking elsewhere.

and I am not spending $1200 for the RRM hood

Prepare for expensive mark-ups!
And if you go to the dealer, they will rape.
