Ok I just installed my header (It was a real pain in the *** by the way). I first turned my car on and a little bit of white smoke came out. It stopped after a while. I guess that was normal. I drove it around for a while but it smells like burnt carpet or something like that. I'm guessing it's cause the header is new. What do you guys think?

 

if it didnt throw off a code?

If not, I wouldnt worry about it right now. drive it around, and reinspect the seal after a few hundred miles

 

I think I herd the Federal header doesn't give out a code. Anyway I drove it for about 2 hours today and no more smell . It is a little louder, but I like noise. Great product RRM.

 

well that settles that then thread over, lol

 

New burn in.

The smoke was probably whatever they used when assembling/welding the header burning off.

 

yeah its because it was new. same thing happend to me. had it for 3 months now. works great ! still shiney !
