08+ Lancer Greddy TI-C Exhaust

I'm not sure how long the Greddy TI-C exhaust has been out. I was wondering if anybody picked it up, and how it was so far. Any gain? Gimme the DL.

You can always get a CF heat shield to counter the exhaust burning the bumper.

the CF heat shield looks pretty good. I would just wait for the redesign (if greddy ever gets around to it)

Oh yeah, btw, this is in the force induction section, I don't really know if Greddy exhaust is considered FI lol

this is another reason why I get really angry with rushed R&D projects. if its melting peoples bumper, I would chalk that up under "one for the doofer-books".
I was talking to a friend who works for a different vendor who in development to release something for the lancer. And I begged him to go back to his higher ups to test the friggin thing first. Then go back and make damn sure its going to work for the 2.4L engine version thats coming out. (well this was a while back)
To their surprise they didnt even know. And that right there is what I am talking about. I am glad to say they were even able to pick up on one other potential problem as well having to do with a Fed spec car.

As for this Greddy offering, I dont think you should have to buy something else in order to get your original product to work, such as a heat shield. Its similar to INJEN's exhaust CATBACk, if you buy it for a FED spec and have to modify it to fit, whats the point of spending 900 for CAT + back system. your better off doing your own thing at that point.

sigh

I had to buy a CF exhaust shield because it melted a hole on the bottom of my bumper and warped the upper portion. The exhaust heat coming off the tip of the exhaust is extremly hot! Hope they give those that have the problem ones something to fix this problem.

I'd rather be on the safe side, being that it is an aftermarket exhaust any damage wouldnt be covered by warranty. I'd rather dole out the extra hundred bucks on a heat shield just to be safe as oppose to warping my bumper.

Do you guys know of another option? It doesn't have to be CF.

For one I think its funny that people are having to buy an RRM product just to make the Greddy exhaust not **** up their car, too funny. Having said that i think your best bet is to just send it back and either wait for the new release to come out, that is if it ever does, or just get something else.
