Why carbon build-up around exhaust tip
I notice the carbon build-up on the exhaust tip keeps coming back after cleaning. The only mod i have is the drop-in filter and the rrm header. although i haven't checked for air filter clogging, i wonder if it has anything to do with the header. Why is the car running "rich", and what does it tell about the catalyic converter. I am going to bring my car in for oil change and service but i'd like to have some advice now. Thanks.

Nomal, Factory cars run rich. They all do. It promots engine life. Thats why performance cars benifit from a tune right away, more than anything. Vishnu got 100hp out of the Evo X with mostly electronics. Timing, fuel, ect!
