Is it ok run the walbro 255 N/A?

Well I'm about to put the turbo on my car and I want to get as much out of the way as possible. Will using the Walbro 255 fuel pump on my car now have any negative effects (gas mileage) or will my stock fpr regulate the correct amount of fuel?

No, it won't hurt. And your mpg will stay the same.

you may not see any problems, but the typical result from my experience is you will actually run a little richer than stock due to increased volume of fuel. just a thought, but you may actually want to wait til you actually install the kit before you put the pump in, a.k.a. install everything at once

Years ago, I installed the Walbro 255 pump on my Honda Accord (N/A of course)
And I drove the car for over 50,000 miles and never had a problem.

as I said he may not have a problem. I saw a small drop in AFR's when I installed mine but perhaps that was just remote incident.

I saw less mpg as well ..... but figure the excess fuel is still being returned to the tank. You will be fine installing it while aspirated.

And the Wally whine is how you know it works ;-)

Ok I put it in and it is ok... I have gotten used to the sound and it really helps to have some music playing I think that the sound is actually louder outside the car than it is inside...

It wont change the a/f since the fuel pressure wont change due to the fpr

So when I put on the turbo, only a fmu, larger injectors, or and adjustable fpr will be able to raise the fuel pressure, correct?

The fmu will increase the fp as the boost comes on or you can adjust the adj fpr to whatever psi you wish (~45psi being common) which will change the cc output of the injectors your using. Its best to use a adj fpr and tune the injectors instead of depending on a fmu. The fuel pump will just make sure there is plenty of fuel ready to be injected.

Ok thanks for clearing that up... Since I'm low on cash, I've been trying to find a fpr at a good price but nothing really has come up. I may go with a fmu for a little while...
