just a quick question, i got a v2 intake and it sure does rock, but has anyone had the problem of having to bring the revs up a bit more than normal for a normal start?

Must be something with your car. Never heard that. Once the ECU learns it start normal like any intake should. There really is no theory behind it starting like that and we never heard that from anyone else before.

^^ shouldn't need to do that. Our ECU's are smart enough to learn there's something new without having to reset anything.

^^ Well, this i'll know when I put my my V2 back on next summer... Because when I installed the SRI last summer, I did not reset the ECU and I was getting a low RPM bog down all summer. I really discovered this when I put the intake back to stock for the winter and did reset the ECU this time, the low RPM bog was gone. So I will see next summer if the cause of the bog was the RRM SRI or simply the missing ECU reset.

IF our intake did that any intake will. We like to see the ECU learn. Ususally idleing it for 15 minutes when you first install it does the job. 100s of guys are good doing it that way.

Yeah, I know... I always did it that way on my other cars.

Anyway, I'll see when the summer will be back. It's still -30C outside today, summer is still far away!

One quick question while I'm at it... Is the throttle body bigger on the 2.4? I looked at the parts list for the K&N intake and they seem to have a bigger collar for the 2.4

Are they all 2.5in or the 2.4 is bigger?

I think they are like a 1/16 inch or 2 mm different. Very minor difference.

K, so you are supplying the same collar for both the 2.0 and 2.4, right? Just wanted to make sure I got the right one since when I ordered my SRI last summer, this part was missing and the replacement I got was a hard fit, but if you are supplying the same part for both engine, it's all good!
