Well it finally happened! I was only kidding myself. I finally blew my motor today! LOL I have to laugh. So I am going to go with forged pistons. I want to know what kind of internal damage any of you had that also blew there motor. I will be pulling my motor on Monday. I have contacted RPW and road race to see about getting some forged. Oh yea- notrous WILL blow your motor. I only had a 55 shot. The pistons lasted about 15 bottles. Anyone want to buy a zex kit? lol

Hey...come to think of it I don't know anybody who has run NOS with forged pistons. I wonder how they hold up.

I'd also like to know what kind of damage you get after blowing your motor with NOS. Anybody thrown a rod?

I will let you know how much damage when I tear it down. I would take 500 for the whole zex Package. Complete Zex kit w/55,65,75 shots cost me 550, Zex purge valve cost me 100, Zex Air Injector cost 75. All is in perfect shape. I have already purchased a Garrett T25. I am just going to turbo. I cant afford to the Road Race way, although I would like to. This must be a blessing in disguise. The new pistons will make me sleep a little better at night. If you want the Zex stuff let me know. It gives you alot of power w/just a 55 shot and the purge valve is cool too! I swear it shoots nitrous 20 feet in the air! LOL

I have a Mozart Cat back, ROad Race test pipe, and a Road Race Intake, Plus the Zex kit,Everything else is cosmetic. I do not have any fuel management or Ecu piggybacks, I was running cold plugs. It was kinda funny! It didnt pop, detonate, nothing just died! But I was in it hard still spinning almost through second and then it quit. I didnt try to start it back, I knew what it was. I just pushed it to the driveway( I was close to the house) What can you do. Just Rebuild better! My wife is not Happy! lol

Seems all these Nitrous stories end the same. Figure on a dead piston (smashed ringland and a lot of little pieces.) Cylinder wall may be OK. Pistons are what you need but I would consider turbo or something else to get your kicks with. Nitous is like drugs, the more you do the better it feels and then BLAM, you are dead!

Sorry dude!

I pulled the plugs out of the lancer today. One of the plugs electrode is bent. One plug is perfect. The other two look like someone took a file across the center of them. SEVERE DETONATION! Anyway, I plan to take the head off, drop the oil pan, push the piston out of the top if the car without pulling the engine. Hopefully, the cylinder walls arent all beat up and I can just hone them out and put me a set of forged piston in. I will keep posting throughout the process. I might even take some pictures.

Consider your engine dying from nitrous like someone who OD'ed on drugs

Nitrous IS safe if you know what you're doing. What do you expect when you have nothing to control fuel and timing, lol.
I run a 250 shot on my Street Renegade 5.0 but I also have a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind and custom programmed ecu. You HAVE to be able to adjust things such as fuel when you play with ANY power adder. If you try and do the same thing with a turbo you'll get the same results.
