Post Concerning the Injen Intake...

I went and purchased the Injen intake from my boy, that i will have by next week. He was telling me that they only make it for Manual transmission Lancers?....... is this true?

I have an automatic, would it make a difference?... will it fit?

I think it should since the only thing that really changes from a manual to auto is the transmission... correct?

Ain't gonna fit cap'n. Manuals Only Club as far as the Injen intake. Take a peek at the RMR and the RoadRace varieties.

Hmm. I notice that a lot about the Injen. I wonder though if its just motion clearance as to actual fit clearance for the tubing. Because if its motion clearance than I suppose you could fenagle the tubing to properly fit the Auto Trans Lancer.

Sheesh folks. You do not HAVE TO REMOVE THE FRONT BUMPER!!! Remove the splash guard under the Transmission and driverside.

I think one problem with the Injen is the Filter Size. It seems to be on the small side for a perfomance application. I could be wrong though. I personally would go with a Larger 6" long filter if possible.

Hey guys just thought I would let you know I just installed my injen intake in my auto lancer without having to bend anything r even take off the front bumper all you have to do is jack up the driver side of the car, remove the splashguards only no need for the whole bumper and just wind the pipe from underneath very carefully not to scratch the pipe in within a couple of minutes it i with no bending what so ever. Just thought I would tell you guys about my experience with the intake.
