I have a Lancer ES w/o cruise control. I want to buy a used TB, and port and polish it.....and then install it on my lancer. Does it matter if I buy a used TB from somebody that has cruise control or do I have to buy one exactly like mine.

Is there a difference between a TB on a car with Cruise, and a TB on a car without cruise?

 

the core wont matter. the cruise control i believe is the brass colored do-hickey on top of the throttle body, it is not a part of the throttle body. you can do what you are thinking or just get RRM's cause it is acutally over-bored not just ported and polished (it has a bigger butterfly).
