Smile paddle shifter question

I have an 08 Lancer ES w/ auto CVT transmission. I was wondering if it is possible and or what parts I would need to add the paddle shifter to my car. I tried looking for the parts and found the paddle but not sure what else I would need. I sent my dealer a msg but I was wondering if any of you knew.. Thanks!

Does your shifter has "sport mode"? (The + / - which you can use to shift when you want to). If you have those I think you can just get the paddles and wire them to the + and - connectors. If you don't have those than I don't know if it can be done easily.

^yea, the GTS is the only trim that has the paddle shifters. He wants to add them on his ES.

IMO its not worth the effort/money. They arent all that, and when I had them, I barely used it.

I will use my paddles on long mostly straight roads, since it is easy to keep my hands on the wheel like that. Otherwise, when you turn throughout the city, the paddles get too far from your fingers, and it is much easier to hit the stick. Fun times!

.... tho back on topic... I don't know if you can convert a CVT into a sport-tronic style CVT so easily... good luck tho

Yeah, I loved the paddles when I first got my car. Like the first 2 weeks driving it I loved to play with the paddles. Now, I don't even touch them, its just not that great. It does look cool but its not that fun using them.

...idk if its even worth doing that. you could take that money an put it into somethin that will actually give you more power for your car. i get what u mean bc i wish i had gotten them also but really i wouldnt waste the money to do that. an the ES cvt's dont have the + an - so your lookin to do much more work an spend money on somethin you dont need. stick with upgrades IMO
