I would just look for an Evo owner who is selling his old FMIC and IC piping.
I got the FMIC for $60 and the piping for $50 with all the couplers. Just look around.

good deal evodreamer. does it matter what intercooler to get? i know piping usually costs a little more than the intercooler, but i hope those are universal for mitsubishi's.

great buy for you too oz rally! did you install all of that yourself? if so, is there any diagrams that i could use to start a project like that?

sorry to keep up this pointless thing..

but does anyone have a good education on exhaust?

i took it to the dealership the other day for a check on something, and there is a leak in the exhaust.

they said they could not tell an estimate or a complete diagnosis of the problem because it is an aftermarket magnaflow exhaust system.

i know it does matter where the leak is to how great the problem will become....
if i get the area of the leak, does anyone think they could tell me how big of a deal its going to be (boost/etc) wise?

An exhaust leak will give you a little more lag and not allow you to reach your peak hp.
Does the turbo set up you're going to use bolt up with the exhaust? I would recommend just getting a whole new custom exhaust, Turbo back exhaust.

An exhaust leak is only going to hinder power/spool on a turbo car if its before the turbo. It can also effect power if its before the o2 and it misreads the o2. Anything after that is just noise

To find it, you are goin to have to take your hands and run them over the system to feel for the leak. Obviously do this when the car is cold

still waiting on the verdict.

thanks though. i was just trying to find a diagram online or something, so when i get the exact spot of the exhaust leak then, i can tell how it will effect my power/hp (or if its at the end, just my noise i think)

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya, but I would suggest going with a smaller intercooler if you are not going to be running a lot of boost. With the evo intercooler and the bigger mishimoto intercoolers I believe you have to remove the crash bar with both. With the z line mishimoto intercooler you can fit it with the stock crash bar, you may just have to trim the bumper up some. A good shop in your area can probably custom fab you a set of intercooler piping for around $300 or so.

This is the z line intercooler. I would suggest using that one....
