4963 swap

4963 swap

i have a 04 lancer es with 4g94 i was trying find out if a 4g63 out a evo 8 will fit my 5 speed tranny with out a a$$ lot of pain or the hole drivetrain with bolt up to my lancer es. Because i got a wreck evo 8 coming from a buddy. let me know if any one know anything

Well if you have most of the parts it shouldn't be too bad. I believe the ralliart and 3g eclipse 4cyc transmissions bolt up to it if you keep it fwd.

He is right. Go to club3g.org I think thats the site. Its a good 3g eclipse website/forums. Look under the RS/GS section. Here are alot of people who are either using the heads, or the motor with the fwd transmission. If you keep it fwd, this swap would be more like a honda b16 or b18 swap type deal instead of an evo conversions. If you got the motor, wiring, all the accessories and that fwd transmission, shouldn't be too hard.
