idoling prob
No sir, this is definitely not normal. At the very least have you tried resetting the ECU? I just had the same problem, I had a cylinder misfire, and actually bent a rod (yay, go me!) and now I fixed everything ($800 bucks later) and my whenever I put my A/C on my car idles at a very LOW idle. Try to reset the ECU though, because I'm going to try that as well.
Its been doing it since i have had it which was for about a month an a half now. it was wreck the passenger side rear door was smashed. it has 680000 for the mileage and i just put an exhaust on in a week ago. how would you do about reseting the ecu?
unplug the battery, leave unplugged for 15 minutes. Go back start car, leave on, let ECU learn. do not rev.

There should be a tube that runs from the side of your valve cover all the way to the elbow of the rubber intake. Is that rubber line still there?
If the rubber line is missing, is the connector on the elbow open or is blocked off?
I can't remember exacly what that line does and explain it, but I can tell you if you the elbow connection is left open you'll see the kind of problems you're having right now. Why? Cause it would let air in AFTER the maf. That air would not be accounted for in the a/f ratio.
Do you have the stock airbox, or do you have an aftermarket intake system?
Make sure all the vaccum lines are securely connected on your intake manifold.
