checking his other threads, it would seem his motor overheated, warped the head on the engine and Mitsubishi is obviously not going to take care of it...the real question would be why not?

Heh, yea sorry. So, a bigass owl dove infront of my car going about 70-75, broke through the lower air damn plastic grill, and cracked the radiator. I ordered a radiator online, put it in. Car got 20 more miles before coming to a relatively quiet stop. I called roadside assisstance for towing to nearest dealership, and the dealership called a few days later saying the head was warped and there was water/coolant in the crankcase. Also mentioned that it did not look good for warranty repairs. I have not heard back from them since that bad news, but I've kinda started preparing for the worst.

Basically, my car Nom Nom Nom'd an owl and now has a severe stomach ache....

No mods, completely stock other than a small Domo-kun sticker on back bumper and carbon fiber center bumper cover from RRM

so you hit the owl, cracked the radiator, drove for a bit, then the car overheated and warped the head?

sounds like they might blame you because you decided to keep driving with a cracked radiator.

pretty ****ty deal man. hope it all works out.

sounds like I would be calling insurance. That should fall under an "act of God" I would think.

Yes, (wife) hit the owl, cracked the radiator (unknowingly), stopped at nearest gas station (which in upper-west Nebraska, wasn't very close), got a room while new radiator came in, replaced radiator, departed making it only 20 miles before dying. This was all over the span of about a week, with overnight shipping on a radiator, etc... Insurance probably won't cover it due to having to drive a little further to reach a safe stopping place. HOWEVER, there is a police report from Nebraska State Police because they helped my wife get the (still alive, and pissed) owl out of the bumper. They even had to file a "use of deadly force" report due to tasing the owl so it would stop clawing and flailing long enough to be pulled out. I have pics, thanks to my wonderful wife. Pretty funny...

I can only hope. My wife is dealing with the insurance company, I'm dealing with the dealership. She was coming to Wyoming to visit me (military) so I flew her back home after the visit, sans Lancer (as the french in france would say)
