You wouldn't be able to raise the rev limit anyways.
The rev limit in ecuflash hasn't been properly defined for our ROMs.

But I'm sure if you switch over to the EVO 8 ecu you will be able to

At 7000rpm, 4G94 piston speed is around 22.35m/sec. So definitely rev that high at your own risk without stronger internals.

Well... money is incredibly tight now, so I was curious as to if the time its going to take to replace the valve guides is actually worth it. I've been reading up on a dohc head swap but clearly i can't afford it at the moment. Ive seen ported and polished heads for sale for a grand or more, and thats a little out of my league. What would be the smartest thing in your opinion for me to do? Should i just sell the car the way it is, or is it worth fixing. because if i can manage to get it repaired i plan on building it up, but i need a cheap fix for the time being.

Oh and also, Im so sick of adding oil to it every other week, so I need to do something with this thing.

get another head off of car-part.com. I got my mirage head for 140 shipped. I then gasket matched it myself. I know there are lancer heads for cheaper but I wanted the mirage cam.

That is also totally dependant on area. Closest one to me through car-part was 700 bux. Shipping charges will kill you on an engine if you have to buy out of area too. Shipping on a head is 40 bux.
