Back to the OP: Did you find out why the original engine "blew up"? I have almost 160k on my motor and have been boosted for almost a year now on a really crappy tune. I thought the motors were stout (I know they really aren't though

It blew up because the original owner was in a shoot out and the shot the oil pan or something which drained all the oil, and yea, no oil= your F*CKEd.

Weird i know but hey, It got me a newer engine.

so he got his oil pan shot... wow they must have some bad aim movies must be right then! nobody know how to hit hte target. that sucks you engine blew glad to hear you got a new one though
