One word:

BOOM!

Any nitrous usage in USDM Lancers has a habit of causing total meltdown. I would advise against it, and so would the members on the board that have blown motors with shots smaller than 50.

Colder plugs, a built motor and someway to play with timing if you want to have a reliable (i.e. non-grenading) Lancer if you want to use nitrous often.

I also had a ZEX 55 shot. Ran like a bat out of hell- now I am waiting on Road Race for my new pistons because I busted the ring lands on the stock. I will post pics of the Forged JE pistons in stall. You will run about 10 bottles through you lancer and you will think everything is fine that all the other tuners on here are wrong, that your lancer can handle the NOS--GUESS WHAT? IT CANT!

the only way you could probably make a nos shot work in the lancer is by having direct port injection. when you spray the nos into the intake, most of it gets sucked into the first cylinder, the one nearest the throttle body. having direct port would even out the shot amongst all the cylinders. but still, its a bad idea.

Or you could get a wet setup. Honestly though...after almost 2 years of tuning (not very long, but long enough to develop opinions) I'm failing to see the appeal.
