RRM Crank Pulley Question
RRM Crank Pulley Question
When I install my Aluminum rrm crank pulley into my 2002 lancer oz rally do I need to change the belt or anything or do i just replace it with my old one and I'm good to go? Any help would be very appreciated.
i could feel a difference being manual. it defiantely got the engine working quicker. the rrm one is i believe 1 lbs or material compared to the stocker which is about 4-5 lbs.

Alright thanks. Yea I just bought the pulley from rrm a few minutes ago. ive got an auto myself but I mean it defiantly wont hurt me getting a lighter pulley. NExt mod... Piggy back. What do you guys think about that? WOrth the money or nah?
It does not spin faster.
It is lightweight, so there is less load on the crankshaft and less force required to turn the pulley.
You'll notice it revs a little faster.
ECUflash all the way. The days of the piggyback have been over.

or you can do the old school method lol. socket breaker bar. find a nice spot for it to lay on and isnt gonna move. have someone hold it and turn the key once starter will loosen it quick. done it to 20 cars lol n never a problem.
edit: i just read the link haha. just like me...

Oh ya 300 wont do it my friend. The crank pulley is one of the tightest bolts on a car. I got tired of fighting with them a while back and bought myself a nice pneumatic impact with 710 Ibs of torque and some 1/2" air line. It either breaks it loose or just plain breaks it
havent found anything yet that can stop it.
