New engine wont start!!

My old engine cracked from the bottom and lost all the oil. So i bought another 4g94, but after conecting everything the car wont start. The car seems like it wants to turn on but it wont. Seems like theres no spark, but the cam shaft sensor been replaced. The only thing we can think is that the ECU aint working. Any one have any other ideas????

I know it sounds stupid but did you double check that everything is hooked back up right? Like the coilpacks and everything?

yea i did. We done it like 5 times. We disconected everything and then connect everything back. But also one weird thing is when i connect a neon tube wires to the (-) of the battery and to a bolt where the strutbar is tied down, the light will turn on. But it shounlt be turning on when both conections are grounds????

So is the engine cranking and just not starting or not cranking at all? when i bought my replacement motor for my lancer it had been setting for a couple of months and i had to put my injectors from my engine the one i blew up in then it start just fine into the other one because dust got up in there and clogged them. might want to try that. have you tried puttign the gas pedal to the floor while starting?

yea the engine doe crank. And yea i also replaced the injectors with the original ones. Cuz they where clogged and no gas was goin trough. But after doin that it still dont wanna turn on. Putting the gas pedal all the way dint work.

Also something i forgot to mention was that the car did start up for a day, but it would run real slow.

Check your grounds!
A neon is the worst check light ever. Connect a real bulb if you want to make a check light.

I have a neon hooked in my computer case.
I cut off 1 wire and the thing still lights up. It's dimmer, but it still f kin lights up with only 1 wire hooked up!
Get my point?

You only need 3 things to make an engine run. fuel Compression spark. So you have changed the injectors i would check the fuel pressure Then i would go to spark i would take a plug off and make sure you are getting spark. That is a good place to start if nothing still a compression test/leak down test, to Check the compression. Hope that helps post the results and we will see what we can do for yah.

Did that today and there is no spark.... Then checkin the block thing that's on top of the spark plugs. The coil pack I think. That conection that it has. And on all three conectors it has charge. But should just the middle one have charge when turnin the key??

Would it be posible that the ecu would need to be reprogram??? If so would any mechanic shop or the mitsu dealership be able to reprogram it with out having to take the lancer??
