OEM Spark Plugs - are they regular or platinum?

Just wondering since I noticed the maintenance schedule calls for a spark plug change @ 15,000 miles for regular OR 30,000 miles for the platinum.

thanks for any input!

The 09 Lancers don't have the Iridium plugs that are good for up to 100k miles anymore? I have had them in all my Lancers going back to 2004. They were NGK Iridiums that cost about $15 each. You should not have to replace your plugs at 15k or 30k miles!

yes to further what was just said by shadow, the Canadian Manual is more of a guild vs. hard fact. it says we are to use and follow the severe schedule but as you can if you pull your plugs, we have the long lasting irridiums. no clue what happen there. but generally if you go to the dealer they will or they should refuse to do that service and remind you of its type.

Thanks Evo Soul; I thought they did not change from the 04 or 08 plugs, but I do not have a 09 and have not been around one, so was not certain that they did not switch to a cheap $1.97 Champion plug! LOL

Thanks for all the answers guys. Odd how it's not listed in the specs chart of the website or anything.

I guess it doesnt need changing until it hits 60,000 miles

It should be 100k. I just did my maintenance at 60k and looking at the plugs, they still look ok.
