2.4L Injen and the hydroshield

does this thing block water entirely or is it just a money grabber? Because I can't see why injen doesn't sell the CAI with the hydroshield with it... Well for obvious reasons money...

Is the Hydro shield worth the extra 25$ or is it VERY unlikey that my engine will ingest water? And is there any sort of loss of HP... I can't see how this can be a double positive for some reason, there has got to be a catch...

The hydro shield is good for water splashes, for underwater suction bypass valve "could" work. The best solution is to disconnect the cai in the mid section on heavy rain conditions.
