it took me (first time installing a SR intake) 45 minutes....^^

not too bad... most of the times is looking for the right tools and the location of the screws

the second round took me 15 minutes uninstall and install (just to ensure my first install is correct)

Just installed the SRI last night!

Not a big increase in power (obviously), but it seems like steadier/smoother acceleration through the rpms. Pretty gnarly sound if you give it enough gas too

Also, this is the first car mod I've ever done. I had a blast installing it. Not difficult at all.

A few questions that might of been answered but i still want to know,

Does this work for the 2009 gts CVT?
How is the install? just take intake out then install this one or do you have to relocate anything?
Is there a heat sheild for this intake?
Where did you buy it from and how much was it?

I just want to know these questions before i buy it so i dont waste money if it wont work with my car. Thanks

1. Yes
2. Plug and play (remove the stock airbox and pipe, then install the Injen SR Intake)
3. No heat shield, but you can get the universal heat shield from Injen
4. http://store.newlevelmotorsports.com/inshramin20m.html

1 question:

I didn't put the stock air tube jobber back in after I installed the SRI. Does that really make a difference? I've heard about it going both ways. Anyone have person experience?

When I installed my SRI, I never put the stock air tube back on. Do you think this will make a difference? It said to in the directions, but I just didn't see how that could make a difference.

why don't you drive your car for 5~10 minutes and then feel the air around the filter....^^"

our filter is behind the battery.... which it blocks all the cool air from the grille.....
without the air scoop.....your filter will only take in all the hot air from the engine bay....

the hotter the air = less efficient fuse burning = less performance..... ^^

I had the RRM SRI v2, then i got rid of that and installed this one and it seems better. might just be my head but feels fater too. I also think that there isnt a lag in when one start from a stop either which might make it seem faster

there shouldn't be a lag for SRI....^^ but CAI will have some lag... since it takes longer for the air to travel...^^
