Yet another intake question :P

I found someone who's selling a injen CAI for $150 and I want to think about buying it but I want to ask yall a question. Is it worth it to get a CAI on an automatic 2.0L lancer ES, rather than buying RRM v2 intake?

Has anyone dynoed RRM intake versus the injen CAI? I know the Injen CAI for the 2.4L 2009 is specifically tuned for it thats why it cost so much but the CAI I haven't heard much about for 2.0L ....

What is the REAL difference between the two and which one is better for automatic?

How does whether or not your car is automatic make a difference as to which intake you get?

Because I wouldn't feel much difference and power would I? I have a RRM v1 now and it seems like my car take forever to accelerate versus if someone was to have a manual. The reason why I ask this is I dont' want to spend a lot of money on something that isn't "worth" the gain for performance

An intake is really only good for a few hp anyway though. Even with a tune, youd maaaybe, maybe gain 10hp over a stock intake.

Intakes usually make a car "sound quicker" cause they can howl if its a metal tubular intake and if there is a bigger filter youll hear the car make an air sucking sound, but its not gonna make your car noticeably quicker.

it does make a car sound quicker but i really think that RRM v1 is making my car bog down big times! I can't do anything to accelerate from 3500rpm up, it seems to be like stuck in a gear or so for like 3-5 sec.... then it gets to 4000rpm then i'll be ok... Let me see what this RRM v2 I just bought do.

Ya its probably just a combination of the cars power curve, plus the gearing. Sounds like the car is under its sweet spot at 3500rpm. Maybe theres something wrong with the transmission if its not downshifting? If you stomp it the car should downshift and get up and go a little better. 3-5 seconds is a while lol.

I have a automatic so I would'nt know if it downshift or not but sometime I feel a jerk if I press down on the gas and the car wont move... it'll rev up and speed but it'll jerk back, kinda like im downshifting....
