anyone have any updates on the cams?

 

i think im gonna email works and see how its going or if they'll give me more info, i remember someone saying by the end of the year, which is coming up quick

 

just want to let know that EvoX cams fit 4B12 and 4b11n/a engines also spring and retainer .here in Puerto Rico i have seen 4b12 with brian crower evo x stage 2 cams , exhaust mod Cai and computer reflash made 196 HP at wheels.also you can install 4b12 stock cam on a 4b11 n/a and have an increase over 12 hp. the cams in this engine are interchangeable. if you install stock evo x cams on a 4b12 you can expect 186 hp. my car right know a 2009 lancer gts 2.4has RRM header and pulley , cai ,greedy exhaust , stock cat and made 172.4 hp and 176 tq, with the parts and reflash of stock computer.soon i will install stage 2 cams , ad evo x injectors, fuel regulator and lancer ralliart 2.4 2004-2006 throttle body , these throttle are bigger than 4b11 and 4b12 and will fit with no problem , just need to use your internal mechanical of your throttle in the 4g69 throttle to expect a 6 -8 hp increase . aiming 200 hp at wheels

 

thats good to know, are there any big potential issues running those internals on the lancer? i know that they're designed for a turbo function which we wont be running, so i guess the question is how safe is this?

 

Do you have any real proof? This would be awesome if 100% percent true. Also concerned about the safety factor...

theres alot if buzz over at 9g about cams. dadsgts's lancer is turboed and he biting the bullet and installing X cams. another possibility is 4B12 cams in a 4B11. the guys in 9g say it should be a straight swap with a tune to work. but i think the gain wont be as dramatic as X cams.

 

yeah i cant read spanish so the link is kinda useless, however 196 at the wheels without going turbo would be perfect for a daily, if i could find more info on it i wouldnt mind going that route if i keep my car

 

Guys , you should go to deltacams.com and talk to them. As that's what us first gen ralliart owners have started to do. They will talk to you about your wants/ performance needs and regrind the cams you send them for a fraction of the price of aftermarket.

And as for swapping in the 4g69 ralliart throttlebody that sounds good if it's larger than your stocker but the eclipse 6g72 TB is even larger than ours. I have and so have several others done this swap with the coolant line bypass. So if the 4g69 TB will bolt up so will the 6g72

well we know that, evo cams have been done a while back and its been known for a while that they would work in the 4b11, it was just understood that it would only benifit boosted lancers not N/A.

so its more of like what cams will benifit NA lancers, not turbo

 

right, but would it be safe to say that we now have a source thats not in spanish? of the PR threads that i read I saw alot of speculation and here-say but nothing solid. now we need someone to do 4b12 cams into a 4b11. heck i might do it if i can find a wreck. there were pr threads that claimed 15hp gain, but again nothing solid

 

yeah not sure if it would be worth a 15 hp gain, but if i could get 196 at the wheels from some cams (already have exhaust and intake) then id be a happy camper, but he said stage 2 cams. so yeah

 

Hi: in www.carrito.net look for mitsubishi, then Foro tecnico mitsubishi,then look for the first thread that says reflash para lancer 08& 09 todos los modelos, this thread was started by Ruben dyno center, hes the one that makes reflash for our car, also you will find people asking about the flash and people sayin their stories about gain in performance. i also recommend to look in youtube and write this lancer gts dyno, you will see videos from ruben and lancer doing 177 hp at wheels with minor mods like intake and exhaust removed.Ruben is the one that has the lancer with 196hp stage 2 BC cams.you also can call him and ask him info about mitsubishi.
