low idle when cold, function test checks out ok though

02 lancer OZ

Hey guys, I've had a low idle for a long time (500rpm cold and a little higher when warm). I found out about the recall on these models a few months ago and took it in to mitsubishi for them to replace the catalytic and header I think. Apparently whatever the recall was for killed my primary o2 sensor, and I've replaced one that was showing a strange voltage reading. My scanner shows everything to be functioning properly, my secondary o2 sensor shows an almost borderline incorrect voltage reading, but it isn't throwing a check engine light. Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing the low idle? Spark plugs aren't that old, I replaced them after my car sat for a long time. And I had to pull my engine out about a year ago, but everything was plugged back in.

Also, is there anyone parting out their lancer? I don't see a classifieds section specifically for parts, do I just post a wanted ad in the main classifieds section of the forums?

I would just take it in to Mitsubishi and see if they can diagnose the issue. It sounds like it may be the O2 sensor, but I can't imagine how that would affect the idle of the Lancer. I would check into cleaning your Throttle Body and make sure its clear of any codes. This can be done by disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes.

You could just replace the other O2 sensor.

after an ecu reset it'll idle like that for about 16 minutes. I'd check for a vacuum hose that's come loose. There is a classified section, https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/in...p#market-place if you go down a bit, you'll see the for sale sections by individuals.
