Catalytic Converter for 2003 Lancer OZ

Yeah I have been taking care of my girlfriend's lancer which has the same problem, and unfortunately the recall is only good for 8 years, even though she has less than 100k on it. I found the OEM exhaust manifold for 340 shipped, going to have to bite the bullet....
When I looked up the recall, apparently there is something wrong with the ECM parameters which causes the cat to run too hot. So if you do replace the exhaust manifold, make sure to get the ECM flashed at the dealership. When I spoke to the dealership, they said even though I couldn't get the manifold replaced through the recall, I could still get the ECM flashed at any time to rectify the issue. I'm going to take it to the dealer for that after we get the new manifold installed.

I will definitely keep you updated. Unfortunately, car maintenance and repair are way down on the list of priorities for my gf, but I am trying to change that. 
She may end up selling the car soon as well so we are deciding what to do.
