Intake for 2011 Lancer ES
+1 on Injen if you go the CAI way
I like the Takeda if you go SRI ... it's what I have. Has a nice heat shield and utilizes stock intake to help feed cooler air. Do you have a CVT? If so, definitely go CAI ... buddy had an SRI in his CVT, said it was too loud like all the time ... unless you like that sorta thing.

With a CAI, if the filter goes behind the driver's fog light, people with CVT's have had issues with overheating. The cooler for the CVT is in the same space, right in front of the driver's front tire.

Not sure if the cai are similar to the evo x/ralliart ones as far as placement, but the cai for these easily suck up water from the ground, which will eventually (sometimes sooner than you think) destroy your motor. Cai is tracked recommended for these cars only.
I've seen this happen to quite a few people locally.

Plus im not sure if you plan to go turbo or not, but the cai intake also takes away the much needed cool air from your radiator. If the set up is slightly similar, go ram.

injen cai ftw. i just installed mine and i know it rains and snows a lot up north but its just so undeniable when you feel a better throttle response and not to mention the amazing sound it produces!
Although you are 100% correct about its performance capabilities, its always better to be safe than sorry. When it comes to daily driven lancers, ram > cai.
this is true, i'm going to get a cf fog grille from ACI so there's less chance of any water getting to the filter, its housed right behind the fog grille and with the plastic grille right now theres actually lots of room for water to get in there, replacing it with the fully covered cf grille i'd have a little less to worry about. I also got the hydroshield for self satisfaction B)
AFE has made some pretty bold claims about their SRI, which basically replaces the section of the stock intake from the filter to the throttle body. So the stock intake snorkel and that half of the air box are still used to pull cool air from the front of the car. Also, you can use a ralliart snorkel and modify your radiator cover a bit to allow for even more air flow. It's probably the safest aftermarket intake on the market since it uses the stock intake path. I just got mine, but I haven't had a chance to put it on yet. It's definitely worth a look if you're in the market for an intake.
