Stock cam as far as I know. The motor looked completely stock when I picked it up so I can't imagine any hidden mods. All I have right now is a k&n intake. Nothing else. About 500 miles on the motor since we dropped it in. Issue only started with the new motor. Thanks again for any thoughts.

Are you an auto or manual? The idles are different for the 2. Manuals are supposed to be 700rpms +-100. Autos are supposed to be 1000 +-100.

But in most parts it seems as if either you need to clean your throttle body(the plate inside may be sludged up) or your throttle cable is stuck randomly.

I'm manual. I'll try cleaning the tb and maf tonight. I'm not thinking cable because a can rev it and it doesn't change. In fact the only time it really changes is when I turn it off and restart it. Then the idle might go up closer to 1k or down to 500. Maybe ill make a video and post it so you can see what I'm talking about.

Here is my theory. It kind of sounds like a vacuum leak to me, Check for leaks? Run up to the throttle body. Is that gasket still in tack? Any CELs?
