suspension help

hey i live in toronto and ive been looking into lowering my 2003 oz, the only thing is that i dont want to bring it to my mechanic to get the work done, ( hes only good for little things) does anyone know any good shops i can go to to get thi work done for a decent price. and also if anyone has any suggestions on what shocks and springs i should use i dont want it to stick to the ground where i feel every bump. so any help would be great thanks

Actually the suspension is pretty self explanatory, I'm sure you could save the money by doing it yourself. I have coilovers on my 03 lancer that took about 3 hours to install. Thats with messing around. I say all this because I am not experienced in car builds at all, thus I believe anyone can do the suspension job.
Also, the lower you go with coilvers the softer they get (the spring has more play and less tension the lower it is) so I recommend getting coilovers rather than lowering springs and struts. It cost close to the same anyways.
One last thing, I think lowering springs and struts ware out faster due to their design to ride at OEM height but not for sure on that. With the coilovers you can adjust the height and stiffness to your liking and its very easy, just jack up the car and pop the tires off the rest is up to what type of coilovers you have.
All in all, get yourself some Megan racing coilovers, slam the sh*t out of your lancer and get an alignment done... I think you will be happy after that
