AEM vs K&N Intake

I'm looking at new intakes for my 2005 ES. Right now I'm looking at the K&N 69-6543 and a comparable AEM intake.

My question is what are the relative advantages and disadvantages of each and which is better overall?

Unfortunately I cannot vouch for either of these on my car but I have had on previous rides and have several friends and family who have K&N setups on there vehicles and every single one of them have nothing but good things to say about them.

Honestly. Buy an ebay instake and just buy a same size K&N filter save your self the money. All you will get is some sound and perhaps 1mpg more if your lucky.

thanks lances. I'm thinking thats the route I'll go with since K&N actually publishes numbers as fair as HP gains while AEM just claims "massive power gains" or something to that effect.

ryancb, there aren't any durability or emissions issues with the ebay intake?

An intake is basiclly a pipe, bracket, and filter. Filter IMO is the biggest thing. I would say no however I dont know your emissions laws there. In WA there isnt any under the hood inspection just an obdII scan and sometimes tailpipe
