Valve cover torque specs and pattern if any.

Hello, valve cover is leaking oil and after the shop wanted 200.00 bucks to re-do it, i found that all the bolts were loose. What is the torque spec's and pattern for the valve cover its-self? Thank you for your help, Dave

its like 3-4 ft lbs but you wont find a torque wrench that low but just start in the middle and work your way out. i always get em 1/4 turn past hand tight,it dont take much. might as well change the gasket though. its like 30in lbs

Yeah INCH POUNDS not FOOT pounds. Do not over torque them! Theres a pattern in the FSM.

$200?! That is 10x the markup! The gasket alone is only $20. It's only a 30 minute job.

But like said earlier hand tighten. Feel how tight the others are. If you over tighten be ready to buy a new valve cover.
