Best exhaust for a 2011 GT?

Hey everyone,

Been around the site since just before I bought my Lancer, a 2011 GT with the 2.0L. One of the things I don't like about the car is the massive muffler that can easily be seen from behind. Just wondering if there are any aftermarket systems that are a little more hidden. Not looking for a ricey fart cannon sound, just something that's a touch noticable over stock, and looks much cleaner. I'd be up for a dual outlet system as well if you guys have any suggestions with those types, as I'd just get the bumper from a Ralliart or Evo. Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!

Stuck in the same scenario. I am looking at Borla, HKS, and Greddy SP which are all axle back. Magnaflow is a catback exhaust that runs the risk of voiding your warranty.

technically anything voids your warranty. thats why it's a bolt-on. something goes wrong bolt the stock on.

I was able to find a few videos on the Magnaflow, not too many though. It seems like it gives just a little more noise at the lower rpms, with the real change in the higher rpm's, is that correct? I looked at the GReddy, but it seemed a little too loud to me.

Yah, pretty much. And it seems like that's what you're looking for.. A little more noise; noticeable, but not annoying. The magnaflow is probably the best option for you.

If you're leaning towards the magniflow I hope you'r ready to hack off 3in of your downpipe and void your warranty.

Check out Tanabe Medalion. Not many people have them but they are nice. Deep tone, not ricey, quite at idle but opens up if you gas it....but still not too loud. All the other exhausts for the lancer are too farty imo. There is one vid on youtube that sounds fantastic.

magnaflow is what ive always been thinking of getting but i wasn't aware that you had to do some..hacking...I rather have something completely reversible. Is this the same for GReddy SE? website says GTS only....

^ Same as me. I'm leaning toward the Greddy SE or the Magnaflow, however both say 08 and 09, no mention of 2011. I don't want to go hacking things it. if that's the case, I'll stay stock. I bought the new car for the warranty, don't want to void it at 8000 KM's LOL

The exhausts for lancer models 08-12 are all the same. The only difference comes with the 2 different engines we N/A guys have. 2.0l or 2.4l. Whichever exhaust it is, if it says 09+ GTS, it'll work on all the 2.4L engines. Mitsu. Outlander included. (someone on here has one). All the 08+ lancer DE, ES, and 08 GTS models have the 2.0L engine, and any exhaust that says it's made for that will work just the same.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Greddy SE/SP exhaust; Sounds like an exhaust that's not too loud, but not too quiet, and looks good too. That's where my vote goes.
