Headers?!?!

Ok, I am interested in investing into headers for my car. I know there isnt many, but for the price that I am going to be paying for them, I want the best for my buck. If someone could please let me know which header is the best out there for the OZ Lancer. I need a large performance gain.

I agree with nyc but also the fact that there are two header (SINGULAR, NO V6's around here except for maybe the 3G guys) options available and one is from Kamikaze which seems a bit wishy washy as far as CEL's and fitment but pretty decent overall and the other option is from RPW whom the Mirage guys love and I'm pretty sure once they're available, we'll like 'em just as much. Oh yeah...there is the OBX option but I can't recommend anything I wouldn't use on my own car. Maybe just me.

Chikara header would be awesome. I would buy one if the price is right.

Also...the whole header/headers arguement is pretty stupid. I think even though the header is one piece, calling them headers is okay because it is 4 pipes welded together into one piece. just my opinion tho.

I'm gonna call it an exhaust manifold just to spite everybody using THE technical term for a header.

Why not show this page the hitters like Stillen and Greddy? Just send this link all over. A properly designed and readily available header is the best thing to do with a relatively low buck NA setup.

I thought Stillen dealt mainly in Toyota/Lexus and Nissan... and a little work on the older Eclipses...

Plus, I've written GReddy before, and, their basic response has been the same as with most of the H&A focused companies... in development... blah blah blah... lackluster demand... blah blah blah... need a car to test on....

Really, it was more the "lackluster demand," whatever that means.

meaning that the risk/cost of developing outweights the reward/revenue gained from sales b/c either not enough people are requesting it (see Paul's Parts Index Tread) or not enough people own the car

the whole supply/demand profit thing....if they can't make a profit, they won't make it.

$420 is cheap...brullen headers cost $800 for my rs and a good set of headers will cost $1200-1400 on the wrx

I am not well versed in the area or headers, so what sorta gain should i be expecting with kamikaze headers. Keep in mind I only have intake right now
