Valve lash adjustment for a 2009 GTS lancer
I have read a lot of different info on this, but i haven't got a straight answer.
Are they self adjusting? I assume no.

Do you need to have lots of different sized shims to make the adjustments?

Also, I'm at 82,000 km and i have not done it, the engine sounds fine but I'm worried about what i might be missing!

They're not self-adjusting. You shouldn't have to worry much about this even with 82k KM on it. You should be more worried about keeping that '85 RX-7 alive and kicking

Thanks nj. If i ever do need to have it done, do i need shims or is it like an adjustment screw??

I asked the mechanic at my local Mitsu Dealer, and had asked him about the valve lash adjustments. From what he told me he said it was the 2.4 L motor from the Galant that needed the valve lash adjustments not the Lancers 2.4L - 4B12 in the Lancer GTS 09 and present.
