So i noticed that the muffler in my 2012 Lancer ES looks different... everyone else's the cannister is sideways and the tip comes out (similar to a scion tc, honda crx...) but mine is straight:



Any idea why? Because i was looking for an afrer market exhaust, i saw a lancer, not ralliart or evo, and it had the sideways cannister but two tips and i thought it looked very nice. Any idea where i can get that one?

thats the newer style mufflers for the 2012+

 

boooo, i dont like it... i also just found out my ES has drum brakes in the back,,, pretty upset about that.

 

wow they put drum brakes on the ES model, i guess thats their way of lowering their costs! That is disappointing especially since every trim has gotten more expensive since 2008.

 

That's rough, I would be pissed! Gotta do the research before you buy the car....

 

That's nothing, when Mistu first came out with the DE lancers back in 08, you had to get a ES in order to get air conditioner.

 

I mean, how much cheaper can drum brakes be over disc for companies....ugh... I thought that the Eat came with discs all around standard!!! >_< can really complain, it was the only car I was financed lol

 

it looks lighter in weight than my stock 2011

 

Might be because the 2012 is now optional Awd and the 08-11 exhaust gets in the way if there was a rear diff .

 

new 2012 models i dont really like it but who am i to judge lol still love my car
