Choke sound on shutoff

Every time I turn off the car it makes a sputtered choking sound like there's a short, but it doesn't sound electrical.

need more details than that

What makes you think its electrical? When you turn the ignition to off position I don't see what could be electrical about it...

"But it doesn't sound electrical." <<< doesn't key word. I'm not sure what it is. Not sure what details you're looking for as I really have no clue what it could be lol. It just makes an odd noise when I turn the key back, sputtered choking is about as descriptive as I can be. Like a really rough idle and die

have just a quick question? what line would you tie into for blow off valve. can you tie into the main one or does it have to be a different one. Thanks

No edub youre in the right thread. He is in the wrong thread as our cars dont have turbos, so obviously no blow off valves. Can you be a little more thorough. as to what makes you think its a "choking" sound. Im sorry man, are there any other adverse effects of this sound youre hearing, aside from what most cars sound like turning the ignition off? Does it make any difference if you turn off and quickly pull key out of the ignition as opposed to turning off and leaving ACC position intact?

Question: Did you recently change anything in your intake/MAF/filter setup?

Because I switched from the stock air box/cheap fram filter to an open air cone filter (k&n) and Evo MAF, and now im getting the EXACT SAME NOISE.

I got the choking sound on shutoff to quit. I'm almost completely certain that it was due to a leak in the intake piping. Tighten up your clamps and all that and see if it fixes your problem.
