What are your longterm plans for the car in a performance aspect?
If you plan on doing all the basic boltons (intake/header/testpipe/tb/intake manifold) I'd say spring for the catback since it will add that much more to your gains.
If you plan on going forced induction, the catback will help alleviate that extra exhaust gas you're creating so that's a go too.
If you plan on just doing some boltons, I'd say go with just an axleback or even just a welded on muffler since it's more price efficient.
