Well, I think that if you were able to do a whole lot of internal work, like EVERYTHING so that you could run about 15 psi SAFELY (I'm not positive how much money/work this would involve, but, it has to be able to be done, right?) Anyway, I've seen GS-Xs and GS-Ts with the exact same mods line up, same driver skills, and the GS-Ts invariably win in the quarter everytime I've seen them line up. The GS-Xs usually get off the line faster, but, the FWD GS-T seems to put the power down better. It would seem (the ACD and traction control nullified since Mitsu has said that the EVO might not come to America with those options) that if the Lancer was running similar mods, and maybe some custom pulleys and LSD, it would probably win. But, that's alot of cash, and it would DEFINITELY be cheaper just to cop out and get the EVO, in one of it's incarnation. Hell, it'd probably be cheaper to have a VII imported.

the gs-t/x was my first mitsubishi love but its harder to take out a loan on a used car instead of a new one so i said what the hell, gimme my lancer. the problem is power, i need more.

hahaha...i was a "yes" away from gettin a WRX my dad was going to spot me the difference in trade in but i went with the lancer b/c the subaru looks like a front end of a neon smushed with the back end of an echo. besides with the 10 grand you save buying a lancer you could buy mods and eat WRX's for breakfast! whooooyaaaa!!!

You ain't going to be smokin' any Rex's with a TC'd Lancer (especially around corners) since even Road Race's turbo kit is expressing gains of 60-80 HP at the crank (not WHP here) which would bring you up to say, 190 HP but not all of that is reaching the wheels. Now with the Rex you're getting almost 230 HP at the crank stock and simply turning up the boost a shade with a Rex and getting a better intake, exhaust (say a new down pipe to) and maybe a bigger FMIC or top mount IC, and you'll be getting a lot more since the Lancer with it's kit turbo already has that new intake setup and not leaving to much room for more mods without putting in even more cash for things like fuel tuning.
